Yquem 1984

The 1984 Yquem shows the challenges of this difficult vintage from one of Bordeaux's most challenging decades. Dried honey and resinous notes dominate a rather simple nose that lacks the estate's typical complexity. The palate opens with bitter orange rind and smoky elements, but underlying rot creeps through on the finish. One of the weaker efforts from this legendary estate.
