Yquem 1992

The 1992 Yquem shows the challenges of a frost-shortened season yet delivers classic Sauternes character. Deep amber-gold in color, with intense aromas of orange marmalade, tangerine zest and tropical fruit. The palate reveals concentrated citrus peel and pineapple notes, though the finish is somewhat abbreviated. While lacking the power of great vintages, it displays admirable balance and refinement given the difficult conditions.
