Mount Eden Pinot Noir 1998

The 1998 Mount Eden Pinot has entered its twilight years with graceful resignation. Tobacco, dried herbs and leather weave through silky fruit that still carries mountain character. There's a lovely mid-weight texture, but the edges are beginning to soften noticeably. Drink soon while the complexity remains intact.
