The 2000 Pontet-Canet captures the vintage's generous fruit with remarkable finesse. Explosive aromas of black raspberry, roasted nuts and exotic spices leap from the glass. Rich and silky on the palate, with layers of dark fruit, smoke and earthy truffle notes. The tannins are strong yet suave, providing excellent structure for long-term aging. Drink 2008-2025.
