The 2001 has shed its youthful brooding character and now shows classic Trotanoy allure. Loamy earth mingles with tarry black fruit, while hints of mint and sea salt add complexity. Medium-bodied with harmonious red and black fruit, cracked pepper and warming spice. The finish shows some grip but maintains focus. Still has 3-5 years ahead of it.
