Pontet-Canet Pontet Canet 2002

The 2002 Pontet-Canet shows rustic charm with menthol and smoky notes threading through dark fruit. Bold and surprisingly sweet on the palate, with black plum, licorice and cedar building nicely. The structure is firm with good depth, though the finish falls slightly short. Still developing well despite the challenging vintage.
