Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

The 2003 shows Mount Veeder's characteristic power wrapped in supple, ripe fruit. Dark cherry and plum meld with tobacco, smoke and warm spices in a wine that drinks beautifully now. The tannins are resolved and approachable, though it lacks the visceral intensity of Mayacamas' greatest vintages. Dried rose petal and cinnamon linger on the finish with sweet red berry notes.
