Figeac 2006

The 2006 Figeac shows the estate's characteristic finesse, though with some restraint. Cabernet Franc leads with tobacco, sage and brambly red fruit that's quite expressive on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and subtle mineral undertones. Black olive and pencil shavings emerge on the finish, but it lacks the final push of concentration that would elevate it further.
