Yquem 2010

Rich and honeyed, the 2010 Yquem shows classic Sauternes character with layers of marmalade, caramelized pear and orange pith. The palate delivers excellent balance, with fine acidity providing structure to the concentrated fruit. While impressive in its focus and spice-tinged complexity, it lacks the razor-sharp precision that defines the greatest vintages. Still, this is compelling Yquem that will reward patience.
