Earthy and structured, the 2011 Pavie shows the vintage's cooler character with savory complexity. Dried herbs, graphite and dark fruit emerge alongside firm, gripping tannins that dominate the mid-palate. There's good underlying material here, but this needs serious cellaring to integrate and show its best. Drink 2020-2035.
