Dense and almost opaque, the 2017 Lafleur commands attention from the first pour. Black fruit intensity mingles with white pepper, crushed stone and earthy truffle notes that seem to tighten rather than open with air. Medium-bodied but serious, with grainy tannins and piercing minerality that drives through the finish. Baptiste Guinaudeau has crafted one of the vintage's standouts. Drink 2027-2045.
