Restrained yet compelling, the 2018 Les Pensées takes time to reveal its charms but rewards patience. Pure clay soils have yielded a wine of remarkable mineralité and focus. Dark berry fruit mingles with espresso and floral notes, building to a serious, intellectual finish. The structure is medium-bodied but precise, with excellent depth. Give this four to five years to fully develop.
