Mayacamas Merlot 2018

Fragrant and deceptively complex, the 2018 Merlot shows Mount Veeder's distinctive character beautifully. Rose petal, sage and mint weave through red berry fruit with remarkable harmony. Medium-bodied yet surprisingly deep, with silky tannins that belie the wine's mountain origins. A few hours of air reveals additional layers of spice and structure. The Cabernet Franc component adds welcome complexity to the blend.
