Rich and opulent, the 2018 Yquem shows classic honeyed intensity with dried apricot and saffron threading through the glass. The palate delivers that signature lusciousness, though it lacks the electric tension of the estate's most compelling vintages. Lemon curd and stone fruit linger on a finish that's generous if not quite transcendent. Still very fine.
