Reserved and aristocratic on the nose, the 2019 Cos d'Estournel reveals blackberry, graphite and violet with patient coaxing. The palate shows classic Saint-Estèphe backbone—structured tannins provide grip and authority where silkiness once reigned. This is built for the long haul, displaying more terroir character and less immediate charm than the barrel sample suggested. Drink 2030-2050.
