Brooding and tightly wound, the 2019 Les Pensées shows the vintage's concentration in spades. Dark fruit, graphite and cedar emerge slowly, revealing layers of complexity beneath formidable structure. The tannins are dense and muscular, demanding patience. This imposing Pomerol needs several years to shed its current reticence and show its true character.
