Figeac Petit Figeac 2020

Structured and somewhat austere, the 2020 Petit Figeac shows the vintage's challenging character. Dark fruit emerges alongside chocolate and cedar, but the tannins feel coarse and somewhat angular at this stage. There's good underlying depth, though the wine needs time to integrate and soften. Best to cellar for 3-4 years to allow the rough edges to smooth out.
