Lynch-Bages 2022

Brooding and backward, the 2022 Lynch-Bages demands patience and coaxing from the glass. Powerful blackberry and boysenberry fruit emerge slowly, supported by cedar and tobacco notes that feel monumental in scope. The palate shows serious grip with beautifully balanced tannins, yet there's an enormous backbone here reminiscent of Mouton's structure. This is built for the long haul and will need every bit of its barrel aging to fully integrate. Drink 2032-2055.
